Royal College of Art Vehicle Design student Kyungeun Ko created a revolutionary workflow for car manufacturing, stressing the importance of sustainable design.
Korean-born, Helsinki-based Aamu Song created the ideal space for a concert – inside the pockets of the performer’s “red dress”. You can lie in the dress and listen to the orchestra whilst dozing off to the soothing melodies of Finnish traditional music. Video by Crane.tv
Sae Her recently graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA n Product Design. Here are a couple of projects we really love including the ‘Bulb Torch’ and ‘Brighten’, a fully customisable furniture module composed out of wood, plywood and aluminium.
Transgrid, a project by Seoul-born, Sydney-based John Choi, founder of Choi Ropiha Fighera Architects.
Design-duo Aamu Song and Johan Olin combine the best of the Korean and Finnish design aesthetic by converting public spaces into magical, interactive landscapes. Their firm called ‘COMPANY’ came up with the concept to design spaces for concerts in the Finnish woodland. The result is beautiful. When can we go back?
Simplicity with a wink towards innovation is what we love this is why we wanted to feature ever so talented graphic designer and Central Saint Martins graduate Sunny Park. She does some clever animation too, we’re fans of Animated F, because it’s very hypnotic. Sunny, we look forward to seeing more soon!
We were baffled by a series of illustrations by Caroline Park, created by combining various image making techniques including cutting and sculpting paper, hand drawn elements and photographic images of human cells.
Some nice designs at the CalArts T-shirt show by Hyunsoo Cho, HyoSeun Kim, Dawoon Jeung, Sue Kim, Dasom Kim, Becky Song and Soojin Lee. http://calartstshirtshow.com/
Really cool illustrations by SAIC graduate Jeff Pak – the Jordan series.
